The difference between electro-galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing

Release date:2018-06-28 author: click:

Hot-dip galvanizing has the following advantages over electro-galvanizing:

(1) It can produce a thicker coating layer, and has both a pure zinc layer and an iron-zinc alloy layer, so the corrosion resistance is good;

(2) Hot-dip galvanizing is particularly high; the time for the parts to stay in the hot-dip galvanizing bath is generally not exceeded

3) Relative to electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing has lower production costs and has less impact on the environment than electroplating;

(4) When the profiles of plates, strips, wires, tubes, etc. are plated, the degree of automation is high.

Hot-dip galvanizing has better protection than electro-galvanized, so it is an important protective coating for steel parts used in harsh working environments. Hot-dip galvanized products are widely used in petroleum processing, marine exploration, metal structures, power transmission, shipbuilding and other industries, such as pesticide sprinkler irrigation, greenhouses and construction industries such as water and gas transportation, wire casing, scaffolding, bridges, highways. Guardrails and other aspects have been widely adopted in recent years.
